Sketchy Thursdays 8.25.11

I had so much fun playing with my granddaughter at my niece's birthday party.  She had such a great time playing with this little doll stroller.  She pushed it all over the yard and I thought it was so cute.  I knew I wanted to scrap these pics and loved the Sketchy Thursdays sketch this week.  These are just some papers from my scrap stash.  The die-cuts and the circle pics and papers were done with my Cricut.  I love that center point option! The die-cuts are from the Kate's ABC's cartridge and the letters are from the Country Life cartridge.  I really enjoyed putting this one together!

Club CK Blog Hop Sketch

The wonderful gals at Club CK have done it again!  They hosted a blog hop over the weekend of August 19th & 20th that was so much fun!  I enjoyed seeing how everyone took the sketch that Amanda (okanogangirl) created and made it their own!  I decided to give it a try myself.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch which you can see at Amanda's blog www.lovejoypaper.com but decided I would like to add some fabulous flourishes using my Bazzill stitching templates (also an idea that Amanda recently posted on her blog).  I used Sassafras Cherry Delicious patterned paper on this layout.  The pics are from my great-nieces 3rd birthday party.

Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays Sketch #20

I really love this sketch.  It was quite a challenge for me to create this page.  I'm kind of new at using sketches so I haven't quite learned to interpret it and make it my own quite yet but I'm learning a lot and trying lots of new techniques as I create my layouts.  This one was a lot of fun - it took me about 6 hours to create because I just kept coming up with more ideas.

First thing is the background design on the left was done with my Stampin Up Stampin Around tool and then I used clear embossing powder and heat embossing to give it some texture. I used my Tim Holtz distress inks in Tea Dye and Antique linen on almost all the elements and the patterned paper.

The ribbon slide was made from a recycled soda can that I ran through my cuttlebug using my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 4 and cut slits out with my craft knife. The grommet on the tag (left of photo) came from some scrapbook packaging.

The element in the upper right hand corner was a piece of cardstock that I used a Kaiser Craft rub-on on and then printed the info on vellum and adhered it.

On to the digital elements. I wanted a dance card instead of a bingo card and I didn't have a ticket either so I created them in Photoshop using the Design House Digital Kit - Jen Allyson's Vintage Findings - Black and Cream.

Other items used include: Bazzill Cardstock - Stonehenge, Patterned Paper: K & Co. ancestry.com Teal Floral & Letter Flat paper. Prima Flowers, Butterfly sticker by La Petites - Paper Studio, Buttons by American Crafts, Stampin Up! Chocolate Chip Ink,  Stampedous Clear Embossing Powder, Marthat Stewart Eyelet Lace Punch.
